Hello from Burlington, ON, Canada.

Hello,

We recently purchased a new 2020 27FC FBT and can't wait to get it.. but this COVID19 may derail some plans . Hopefully not and everything willl be delivered as planned!

We've owned a camper trailer for 1yr before jumping in to the Airstream. We weren't sure this was for us but guess what? We loved it so much that investing in an AS only make sense for us and work is actually getting in the way of our adventure! We're in our fifities my wife and I and love road trips/hike/bike/cook and have fun!

I'm a pretty handy guy and love to fix things so you will hear from me for sure as I have a ton of questions.

See you around!

And Hello from the neighbourhood. You appear to have the qualifications to become a happy Airstreamer. Jim

Drax, congratulations and welcome to the Airstream Community!

You're in good company here; we're all suffering from the same affection of aluminum.

Since you're a handy guy and like to tinker, your Airstream is the perfect machine to personalize.

One thing you'll see a lot about is taking care of your coach's batteries. You never want to draw them down below 50% (DoD - depth of discharge). I just installed a Victron BMV-712 battery monitor.

Now that you'll have some downtime due to the COVID-19 issue, it's a perfect time to tinker! Here's a link the the Victron install if you want to check it out.

All the best,
Jeff

Hey Drax, welcome.
If you haven’t already, please check out the Ontario chapter of the WBCCI. Hope to see you at an event.
We are itching to get going this spring but with the current situation I may be limited to doing upgrades. We will be adding some solar and a BMV-712. Assembling the parts now.
Congratulations on your purchase.

Congrats and welcome to the family!

We hope to be headed to CA late summer. Along the St Lawrence River to Quebec City then down thru Maine.

Have fun and be SAFE!
