Hello from Arizona!

Hello - new to the forum and semi-new to Airstreams. I bought a 2004 Classic 30' last year to go full-time, but have not yet hit the road. Bogged down in 2 lifetime collections of belongings to pare down and multiple house-related interruptions (i.e. dramas like broken pipe under slab, exploding water-heater, etc.) I'm working on it! This is my first 'good' trailer - I had an old PUP years ago but this is completely different. I look forward to boondocking my way around the USA for some years, eventually finding the land which calls my name to park it for a spell. Solar set-up with a lithium battery bank, towing with the truck I meant to use for a 5th wheel, there's 6 decades of experience camping and backpacking behind me to make the next few years the trip of my life. Thank you for the welcome!

Welcome we're also from hot Arizona. Sounds like you have a fun future planned. Good luck wrapping up those final details.

Hello from Colorado: It seems like you are well experienced for your full time adventures. There are folks on these forums who do what you are planning to do. Their experiences may be helpful to you. There is lots of forest service land with boondocking campsites on it that you might find interesting. However the roads to some of these places are not very good.

Thank you! I grew up in Washington state, backpacking, hiking and eventually car camping. Tons of experience finding FS, BLM and NF etc. sites for my free enjoyment. I do have to remind myself now and then that it will be very different - towing a 30' hotel room will probably put a stop to most FS roads I once knew well lol
