Hello from a couple of young newbs in FL!

Hi folks!

Excited to have this great resource at our fingertips! We are two young adventurers, a couple (28 and 31 years of age), embarking on our very first airstream renovation, with the intent to live in it full-time/tiny house style in the Atlanta area.

We are relatively handy, with a superstar friend/employee who will be helping out, but we are going to need a lot of guidance! We are working with a 100% gutted (no insulation/walls, just shell/frame/subfloor) '83, 31' Excella.

Are there any other young enthusiasts out there? It'd be neat to connect with others in our age group, in addition to the more experienced folks I've read posting here!

Can't wait to get started.

A lot of us are vintage.

But you'll find younger ones here too. Welcome, and good luck with your project!

Welcome, you'd be surprised how many of us under 35 are actually enthusiast and how many of as "tiny" house style "full timing" either in one location or traveling.

I'm a "young'en." I haven't found my soul mate--we're talking trailers here--but I'm hoping to join the newbie with a trailer instead of the newbie "Currently Looking" club sooner than later, sometime around my 30th in December if I get lucky in finding my gem. I'm looking forward to reading about your adventures!

BearBones,

Welcome to the forum, and great looking trailer there! I don't fit into your "young" enthusiast category but there is a great community in and around the Atlanta area. Some events include Springstream, Falluminum, Allumalina and a whole bunch of other events that will get you introduced to a young (and old) community of enthusiasts.

Safe travels!

Good looking trailer!
My wife and I (30 and 32) and our 9 month old daughter have '77 Safari. We've been renovating a little at a time over the three years we've owned her.
First was the plumbing and flooring, last fall and winter was the bathroom, now I'm polishing, next is the kitchen.
