Hello Everyone!
My daughter and I are vintage travel trailer lovers and collectors, we have 13. We have just added our first Airstream to our collection and it is really cute and was actually irristable , It is an 18 ft no name, the pink says 59 but I think it was built in 58, it's ID# is 4111 and it was only 2500.00 dollars. The layout of this sweet trailer is different than any I can find on line. It has a full rear bathroom, huge center kitchen and a goucho sofa in the front, not built in but free standing. I'm not sure if that is what you call it , you lift the middle up it goes klik klik and its a bed, with storage beneath taboot. I would love to know if anyone knows the history on any of these old trailers .Thanks
Sorry there are no photos this computer is to lame , I will post some at a later date.
Thanks , and Happy Trailering
K.

Hi K, From my limited knowledge of 18-footers they were economy models made up of parts from the larger versions. California versions varied greatly from Ohio one because the CEO of each factory had a different vision of the future. Take a look here for more photos.(scroll down)

WELCOME to the FORUMS kimberly's. Sounds like you have a "special" trailer with the 18' footer. Post pics when you have the chance. What else have you collected in the trailer line?

I am going to attempt to post pix, Oh well my other pix are too big and I don't know how to fix that , i will have to have my daughter help later.
We took this cute thing on it's first rally a week and half ago to Rivernook campground in Kernville , California . A Maxitear rally, they may have Pix posted already.Lots of Silver trailers at that rally, more than usuall
Some So. Cal Airstreamers were camping there last weekend.

It's nice to hear you refer to the sofa that goes "click-click" and then folds down to make a bed. For years we had a "click-click" sofa on our boat that company would use when they visited. My wife has always called it a "click-click" sofa. When she says that, I know exactly what she means. A couple week-ends ago we were looking at ASs and she mentioned a "click-click" sofa but the salesman had no idea what she was talking about. It was a pure delight to read your "click-click" reference.....it made me smile all over!
Congrats on your little sweetie! You'll have great fun with it - it'll follow you everywhere!
