Hello and how do you do from Hastings, UK.

Hi everybody, my wife and i have taken the plunge financially( i see ruin ahead) and historically. We have bought our first airstream.

IT will need some work, it is however mainly original! it is a 1967-8? safari, numbered 3885.

Today i set about replacing the awning that i purchased for £54. and just need to rivet the end cap spring retainer back on and start the process of winding it back on!

i have also tested electrics, 12v and 110v etc and it all seems to be working with exception to the AC, heater and fridge(dometic) i expect that these need some form of gas! either refrigerant propane or otherwise!

i have already accrued a shopping list, of items that need replacing or refurbing!

I will be hoping to chat to others and ask questions etc as i go along the journey that is ahead of me, in the meantime!

Here's BETSY.

Welcome to the forums. We have a 1966 Safari. They're good trailers.

Lots of people here who are glad to answer questions.
