Happy new owners

hello all! We have had our dream come true! We have been camping most all our lives but have always wanted an Airstream and now we finally have one. We just bought a 1984 31' Excella. Bought it on Monday and we actually were able to camp in it this past weekend. The man who let us have it sold it for only $8500.00 and it is in near perfect condition. We need to tweak it to our needs but it is otherwise a thing of beauty. We look forward to gaining much knowledge on this forum from everyone who has way more experience than we do.
We plan on changing the back bedroom into a full size bed from the twins that are there now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We also need a fold up table that is missing in our living/kitchen area. And shouldn't the screen entrance door have some type of handle on it, there seems to be only a nub of metal there and I dont think that seems right.
Thanks to you all for being here for us!

Welcome! We are also new owners and have found this place to be everything we needed to get our trailer in good shape. I don't have any advice on your questions, but I know you will find the answers here. Congrats on your find and happy trails to you!

Welcome to the forum. We got our AS almost two months ago and have learned a lot very quickly from other forum members. Enjoy the adventure!

The Vintage Airstream site has some pictures of the 80s Excellas. May see something there that can tell you what's missing.

Then there's the Excella forums on this site as well.

Excella - Airstream Forums

This will get you going till the Excella owners chime in.

Hi to new Excella owners. We just got ours in April, and love it. Yes, our screen door has a small handle. Post a picture of yours and we'll compare. I can't get to The Silver Otter to see ours right now, but I'll get to it int the next two days.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...I cannot post any pics of our door just yet because we do not travel with it, our "mothership" (it was named by the last owners) lives full-time on our camp in the Lake George area of NY. But when we go back up the next weekend I will get some pics. Then I will try to figure out how to post them too...lol
If anyone can help me with instructions to post I do have some pics of the rest of the AS.
