Happy new airstream owners

My husband who has been a member of this forum for awhile keeps telling me how informative this forum has been for him. Since we finally got our 2021 27’ flying cloud about three weeks ago, I decided it was about time I joined. We are both seasoned campers and our dream has always been owning an airstream. Originally from upstate New York, we have been transplanted to central Florida for almost 15 years. Since retiring five years ago we have been enjoying traveling for longer and longer trips around the U.S. We look forward to airstream rallies and the opportunity to meet the community of owners.

Welcome to the forum. It's great to have you with us.

I see you are in the Villages. We spend the winter here in FL near Mt Dora. Are you a member of the AS Club? If not I would encourage you to join. There are several active units here in FL. We are affiliate members. Maybe we will see you at a rally.

Travel safe and enjoy!

Thank you! We would like to join the AS club. How would we go about that?
We have been to Mt Dora many times and have done the craigcats on the lake. Where do you stay while wintering there?

Hello from snowy Colorado: No Airstream travel for us with a couple of feet of snow on the ground. We need the moisture.

Welcome to the Airstream owner's community. You will meet a lot of great folks here on these Forums. You can learn all about your new Airstream, tips for good travel times, and tips for easy maintenance. I think your Flying Cloud 27' is a very nice size. I have a 1975 Overlander 27' and like it alot. See photo.

You can join the WBCCI Airstream Club online. Here is a like to the website. Many folks join to participate in rallies and caravans, and local club social events.

We actually have a house here and travel back and forth from PA in our AS. Plus we go to a few rallies and do some camping while here.

Just curious where you store your AS?

We store the RV in The Villages storage lot on Rolling Acres Road in The Villages.

Sounds like you are still in Florida? Where have you camped in the area? We are going to Lake Louisa SP this Sunday for a few days to get out of the Villages for awhile.

Do you have contact information for the local or Florida Airstream groups?

I sent you a private message with some details.

BTW Region 3 is having a Rally this weekend in Tallahassee. They have about 120 rigs there now. I'm sure they have room for one more!

Welcome to the forum! Lake Louisa is a great park for cycling. While you are there, survey the sites for oak trees. It shouldn’t be a problem this time of the year, but in autumn, the pinging acorns will drive you nuts (NPI) and do a job on your shiny roof.
Happy travels!
