Greetings from The Land of Enchantment

Greetings All, we just bought our first A/S. It's a 1961 26' Overlander in pretty good shape and we're totally pumped! Was parked for a number of years under a tarp by the original owner. We dropped her off at the A/S service center in ABQ for a complete check-out - so should have a good idea of exactly what lies ahead in the "work on it" department.

I've been reading and doing my best to absorb as much of the fantastic info here on the forum and I know I'm going to need a bunch of help on a bunch of topics in the next weeks getting her ready for the road.

Looking forward to all of it

Robert

We have just the thing for you - in a week or so we will be posting info on our 4th annual Restoration Rally held each year in June in Albuquerque - we cover everything you would ever want to know about rebuilding Airstreams and is a classroom style event taught by professionals - also available are folks who can look over your trailer and give you feedback on what you need and don't need.

This years dates are 6/9 - 6/13

So watch for you announcement in the next week or so, or PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you a sign up sheet when we officially open up registration.

Ken J.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Moving them to the front -- seems like a dangerous place for propane.

Just click on the link to the thread in post #11 and list the serial number of your '61 Overlander, and, of course, a few photos.
