Greetings from the Big Top

Hi everyone ,well my name is Walter and I’m the fleet supervisor for the Big Apple Circus , I’ve been doing this job for a few years now , I always loved the style of Airstream’s but decided to see if this was the career for me before buying . So this is my new home a 2006 28 foot international CCD I have to say I’m defiantly the envy of the lot right know, this trailer is amazing, thank you everyone and enjoy the show.

Nice to meet you!..I've done it the opposite way. I've bought my Airstream in hopes of someday running away and joining the circus!

Congratulations on your new home. It would be nice to see at least one or two vintage Airstreams in the Big Apple fleet, maybe your unit will spark some interest.
Northern Vermont misses your late summer visits! The Big Apple is the best, always made me feel like a kid. The elephants are so B I G, the music is so loud, the acrobats are so talented, the horses so fast, the clowns so funny, and everything is so close to every seat in the tent. Maybe I'll have to travel to New Hampshire or somewhere else to catch the show again this year.
Best of luck to you all for a great season.

Hi Kevin well there is always plenty of openings here at the circus if you like long hours and little pay, but as circuses go at the big apple we have it easy we only move 12 times a year .were in Atlanta now, Stone mountain park till the end of February . Actually have some time to see the city, most circuses move every week or day . Take it easy

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the airstream. Circus huh? You will fit right in here . I recently (week and a half ago) ended my first full timing stint in my 68 Trade Wind, and if you like it as much as I did you will be wondering why people live in stick houses that dont go anywhere.

Hi Dianne, there is always a lot of interest in Airstreams here, mostly from our European members they are fascinated by them they know more about Airstreams then I do. Sarah a German tight rope walker here told me it was here dream to own one , that and a pick up truck I guess we don’t know how good we have it as Americans LOL . Big Apple is a non profit organization and a major contributor is Thor all our show owned trailers are Gulf streams and Citations but as for now I have the only Airstream on the lot . As for going to Vermont the closest we get is Hanover if you come let me know Ill give you a back stage tour . I cant find where I packed my camera but as soon as I do I’ll post some pictures . I have the blue interior
\later for now
Walter
