Greetings fellow Airstreamers
Greeting All,
We purchased our fist Airstream six months ago on Ebay. She's a 22' International CCD and we love her. We've taken many trips in the West including Montana, South Dakota, Utah and Califorina. Our only complaint is the size of the bed. We are currently looking to move up to the 25' Safari SE FB. Anyone have any advide or opinions on this model? I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Mod-Streamer

Hi, Mod-Streamer!
You have one of the coolest Airstreams made, but I have heard similar complaints. I'm sure people will be full of advice as to the different models. Feel free to search around, and you never know what you might find already on the forum. There's usually a lot of discussion about the different models as they come out.
Welcome to the forum!

Mod-Streamer--We felt the same way only with a 16'CCD like dieterdog. We traded up to a 25' Classic to get a bigger bed, one with a real mattress. We kept it 7 months and guess what ?? We traded for a 30'Classic to get a dinnette. I guess we'll never be satisfied.---Pieman

Go big
Yeah, I'm hoping we are going big enough. I originally wanted to go to a 28' but when I saw the new Safari 25' FB (front bed) I fell in love. It gives us a queen bed and much more room in the main cabin. Plus a seperate shower which is a biggie for me. We'll see I guess. I may be moving up soon.

I replaced the mattress on my bed with a custom innerspring mattress. It SEEMS bigger because it is more comfortable. Of course some couples I've heard from sleep head to toe for a roomier feel... I think being single beats having a man's smelly feet next to my face, but I supposed if you take care to wash before bed time it might work out. The bed is long enough to accommodate that configuration.

My family of 4 is happy with our 22' CCD! We also looked at the 16', 19', 25' and 28'. The 22 footer seemed like the best fit for all of us. Not so small that we're tripping over each other and not so large for towing with our F-150. If you need more space and can tow it, go for it.
