Post Getting riveted in Oregon!

Hi, I my name is Jim and I live in The Portland Metro area. I am new to Airstream and new to forums so excuse me if I commit any forum no-no's as I am getting used to this. My wife and I got into airstreaming through some friends. They have fixed up a 1965 Soverign International, and like many vintage Airsteam's it is a work in progress. They had purchased a 1968 Soverign International to fix up for a family member as a wedding gift, that ended up not working out so my wife and I are now the proud owners of that trailer! I am pretty handy and will be doing most, if not all of the work myself (with help from fellow Airstreamer's of course!) I am looking forward to meeting up for rallies and spreading the Airstream goodwill to an RV park nearby, hopefully by late Spring 2014. I plan to post pictures before, during and after as I work on our trailer and can't wait to make friends with the same interests here!

Congratulations on the Airstream Jim and we are glad to have you with us. Post some photos when you are able.

Regards,

Kevin

Welcome! Sounds like great project... Hopefully by now you have learned the mastery of the "Search" tab above, and how to find threads from among the hundreds of thousands here on any topic you'll need. This Forum is a great source, as is the Vintage Airstream Club and WBCCI. Several commercial members here do commercial restoration work, and there are a number of parts suppliers as well. The Oregon Forum group is also active, with events at Beverly Beach and other locations around the state..
