flyguy

Hi everyone,

I just came by this forum by accident and I'm glad that I did. My wife and I are proud owners of a 2006-19 foot Safari Bambi. We go out with it as often as possible and have just started taking our two dogs with us. Our Bambi, who we have named "Spud", is just the right size for the four of us.

One of my dreams, and I think my wife's, it to drive the Alaska Highway, and Spud will make this more possible. We are not quite ready to make such a big trip yet but will definatly move in that direction with more and longer trips in and around Arizona.

I'm also pleased with the help I've gotten from other airstream owners when I've posted on the Airstream website forum. I'm looking forward to reading the forums and sharing what I can.

Thanks A Lot and Happy Holidays to Everyone

A big welcome to the Forums. You will find a lot of good Airstream information here. We hope to see ya'll and Spud on the road soon. Keep the silver side up.

Double Welcome!

Welcome to the Forum AND welcome to a fellow Bambi owner!

My wife and I also own a 19' Bambi Safrai and love it. We have some out of town guests this week. Then, once they clear out, we are camping for a week near Bodega Bay/Petaluma, CA.

Can't wait.

Welcome. Assuming from your moniker here, you are a pilot. You'll find other pilots here who are mostly (from a small sample of responses to posts) of the homebuilder persuasion and deep into vintage Airstreams. You will obviously be enjoying more time on the road than us!

When you head west, get off the Interstate at Seligman and hook up with the guy who owns the coffee shop, per his ad on the side of an Airstream on the east side of town...he's got a couple of additional vintage trailers on his property in town.

Welcome Flyguy, with a name yours I encourage you to search the thread, "Airstreams and Flyboys, is there a connection." You've found a home for all things Airstream and much much more.

Road Trip??

There is a rally in 29 Palms in a few weeks if you feel like a road trip. AZ Flycaster is coming to join us. There is also a 4 corners rally in February. Hope you can make it to al rally. Debbie

Funny, but when I saw the name Flyguy I assumed that he was a flyfisher. I guess we will have to wait for Flyguy to respond to find out "the rest of the story". BTW, I am hosting a rally at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood in February. It is called the Four Corners Unit Rally. I have a shortcut in my signature that will link you to more information about it. It's only an hour away for you. It should be a lot of fun.....
