Hi, You guys look like you actually talk Airstreams! I was trying out The Airstream List site and they were boring. We have a 1972 Globetrotter and overall in great shape but there are things we just don't know how to do. We have only had it since Jan. and have only camped in it twice. I'm sure you guys will be great help when we run in to problems.

WELCOME to the FORUMS

Greetings, Yes AS is spoken here. Some people are very fluent and some are just stepping onto the learning curve. But the one thing we have in common is a love for the shiny, round shaped trailers, and the "painted Argosy's too".

Hi, I have a '72 GT also. Love the size, hate the shower.

One suggestion - buy a lexan cover to mount over your front windows. The glass is easily broken by a rock thrown up from your tires or another vehicle.
I know, more money. But it would be cheaper than replacing the glass, if it's even available. I think you can get the front cover for around $300. (?)
Welcome to the forums!

Hi, I was just talking about the window covers last night. Weird. Anyway I love the bathroom its not a problem for me but my husband is over 6 ft tall and not "slim". He hates it.

Search Tab is the Power Key..

DeeDee-

Welcome to the Forums, and fear not being ignored...

All new members must practice using the search tab in blue bar above to find useful threads and posts on subjects you're interested in.. It is really powerful, and by clicking there (now that you are officially a member..) you can type in one or more search words, and.. Voila!! Answers will appear... [Imagine Darth Vader in deep; breathy voice saying: "Learn to use the power of the Search!"]

From complete restorations to sources of curtains or flooring, and ideas for plumbing fixes, there are thousands of existing messages you can look to for starters when you have a project in mind...
