First Airstream

Hello Members,

We are Joe and Jeanie Nesmith and have owned three motor homes prior to our purchase in August of 2017 of our first Airstream Flying Cloud 26U.

Looking for assistance as usual since we have REALLY down-sized.

Happy to have found this website.

Congratulations on your purchase. You will learn much valuable information on this forum. We have owned two motorhomes, and one fifth wheel before we went back to an Airstream.

Hello from Colorado: You really did shift gears. An Airstream is a rather unique travel trailer. They are light weight for their size, easier to tow than a square box, and have some very good interior designs. They last a very long time and hold their value well.

Airstreams are small campers. It's like camping in a business jet. I find once I'm settled in the small size doesn't bother. I don't need much room to sit and read, sit and eat, or retire for the night. I open the door, duck my head, and I have the great outdoors to expand in. We have learned not to take stuff "just in case". Travel light as they say.

An Airstream is a community of like minded folks. When you park for the night and relaxing outdoors, don't be surprised if a fellow Airstreamer says hello and tells you all about their Airstream. You might consider joining a club and meeting other Airstreamers. It's fun.

Welcome to these Forums.

David
