Finally Pulled the Trigger

We've been looking at SOB's since last spring and when we saw an Airstream in August, we were hooked. After much deliberating, negotiating and looking at new and old (later year old, not vintage) we signed a deal yesterday, ordering a 2008 International CCD, 28 FB. We'll find out Monday exactly when to expect delivery but the dealer was thinking 6-8 weeks.
While I've mostly been a lurker on this board, I've learned so much from so many of you and can only say thanks! We're totally pumped and looking forward to hitting the road and trading stories and pictures.

Bob & Cheryl,
Welcome to the Forums and especially to the Airstream community (family!). There are a lot of very wise and experienced folks on the forum that can help with any problem/question you may have. Don't be afraid to ask. Keep us posted on the arrival date! You'll love your new AS. Again, welcome.

Congratulations Bob & Cheryl! It will be 'born' just in time for spring. Another member with this very Airstream was my personal hit of our 2007 Moraine View rally last year. Moraine View is scheduled again in 2008 (not quite ready for campground reservations). Please feel welcome.

Whew, when I read "pulled the trigger" and read "SOB's" I thought you had put your old silver girl to rest and gotten one of those shoeboxes with wheels. Congratulations!
