Finally made an offer!

We were at a reputable repair shop that also sells trailers from time to time to look at a 1990 excella 29 ft, asking $17500. Recently exterior refinished with newer laminate floor. Interior was OK but it had a bad smell. The owner mentioned he had a newer trailer he was updating and selling for an estate. 2003 28 ft classic, no dinette. Exterior showed no corrosion or clear coat problems. New laminate floor was going in along with newly covered sofa and queen mattress. Bare Front floor and material on wall under one window showed signs of previous leak. Rest of interior is excellent. Hensley hitch. Asking $25K which I thought was reasonable. I've offered $23K with assurance that the leak is repaired. We're hoping it's accepted so we can start streaming!

fc,

Same year and model as ours....great trailer your going to love it.
The Hensley is a BIG plus.

I would..

Inspect tires for build date, if original, time to replace.

Same for the batteries.

Consider an up-grade for the OEM Parallax 7455 converter, nasty habit of overcharging.

Inspect all roof vents, skylight, bath fan, Fantastic Vent Fans and black tank vent for leaks.(our black vent leaked from factory)

Start reading the manual, and insist on a COMPLETE orientation!!!!

Good Luck

Bob
