Finally made a purchase....

A 1978 Argosy. 30 footer. I drove from NC to almost Cincy to get it. I had never pulled a camper before and ley me tell you, pulling a biggun through the WV mountains is one not so good way of cutting your teeth on a pulling education. Especially when I go to turn my lights on and figure out I have no taillights, running lights on top of the lack of trailer brakes. I haven't had the truck long and didn't realize the brake box was jacked. Oh well, I know now.
Of course with any old camper, there are issues. Some I knew before I purchased it and some I found out after, not to mention the ones I have not found yet. We looked and made offers on several AS' s then it was suggested by one of the volunteer inspectors (Dave Mccrostie.... Thanks!) that I look at Argosys. Goodness there aren't that many for sale. Anyway here is my new temporary home while I clear land andbuild house.

Tried to post pics but I am doing something wrong.

ibskot:
Though we are from totally different coasts I gotta hand it to ya.
You did better'n most on a first post and you not only took some good footage but you dragged that baby home through the mountains with a new truck.
Mine is somewhat newer but I too found all kinds of little things that needed work. Pretty much have everything the "way it should be" now and I hope you enjoy your new temporary home.
I was going to do the same thing as you but decided I enjoyed "small living" so much I gave up on the house and just keep the land "natural"....with some added "features".
All the best
Del (out in the country and loving it)

I am trying to get the pics to load but they are a bit stubborn. I am shocked the video did.
