Excited (?) to be an Involuntary Airstreamer!

Hello:

I have been looking at the forum the past two days and decided to join. A family member just purchased a 25 foot International Serenity and I am the closest truck-owning relative so I have been promised some access. Always loved the way these things looked and am excited to try it out. Towing forum was helpful but I also would appreciate any advice on towing this trailer with a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat 4WD SuperCrew. I have the 5.0L V-8. It looks like the trailer's gross weight is 7300 lbs. My GCWR is 14,300 and towing capacity is 8900 lbs. The number that looks the sketchiest to me is the potential tongue weight, but I have never towed anything this large. I know I need a WDH but am curious if I am good to go with this set up or if I need to grovel to my Chief Financial Officer about a truck upgrade. Anyway, great info on these forums!

Sounds like a great opportunity. Just search the site for the word "payload" and you will learn whether you have an issue.

I’m towing my 28’ (7,600 lbs) with my RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi. Works ok, but I’m adding air bags to the back end to help level it out when hitched.
