Clearance lights

[RM66caravel]

Our 1966 caravel has side lights but no clearance lights on the front or back. Are they required? If I need them I would rather put them on now before I get it back together! Thanks

They have their advantages and our 66 Safari has them. That said our 54 won't.

Whether the trailer has clearance lights depends on Federal laws and customer-specified options at the time the trailer was manufactured. Many years, the top three clearance lights were not required, but would be installed if the customer wanted them.

If I don't use them and they are required I would hate to have to rip the the end caps back off to install them!
