Thank you! Thank you! What a wonderful forum, a plethora of information, it's so motivating to read through everyone's restorations! We just bought our Airstream on August 18th. We purchased it for $4500 in a storm, in a pasture in Florida, with fire ants crawling up our legs. Not the ideal conditions to make such a decision... We had already seen several airstreams, most were junk and some we lost by not acting quickly enough. All and all, we are pretty happy with our purchase. Our Airstream purchase was inspired by our love of fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, camping, and other outdoor activities. But mostly by our love of our daughter Chloe,
she has multiple disabilities and is on the autism spectrum. Transitions and change can be very difficult for her and that means vacations can be disastrous. We found that trailer travel works very well, as she can have her own space and take it with her. The love of my life, Chris, has been in the roofing and construction business for 30 years, other than that we have never attempted any project like this before. We are very excited and I'm sure we will have tons of questions. I'm keeping a photo journal on
Airstream, I have lots of photos to upload.
