I am new to this. I do not own an airstream or any camper at this time. I am interested in a relatively new (but used)16' Bambi Any idea as to the cost of one? I have looked at some online auctions and see prices from $5,000-$14,000 and up. Help!

Welcome to the forums! If you do a site search try "ebay scams" - you'll find that those "lowball" too good to be true offers are usually scams. If you are looking at a 2000 and up Bambi, expect to pay more than $20,000.
Good luck!

16' Bambi

Bambis always seem to go for a higher price than similar condition larger Airstreams. I have always assumed that this is the case because Bambis are so darned cute. A 16' Bambi is the only thing on the face of this planet that I can think of that it cuter than a puppy.

You will have to shop hard for a deal. Start with new units just to see what you can get on for. Airstream dealers will come off list. Then shop the preowned; you might be suprised at how close the prices are.

You might want to consider the 19' Bambi. It is almost as cute (and towable), and has separate black and gray water tanks (about 20 gallons each). This is a very important feature if you plan to do any dry camping. The 16' has a combination black/gray holding tank of only 21 gallons.
