Thank God the insurance companies don't control everything, YET! The great link on page 2 from towing world shows the law, and the facts. As expected, the great mid-west is the most flexible.

alternative

As a collector of way too much cr@p, I am thinking of how to pull different combinations at different times. I think one of those long flat bed trailers that they use to move cars on, and just load the trailer/boat/motorcycle/scooter you want for the trip. Tow the whole thing with a 1 ton pu.

Here we go again with everybodys OPINION. There are several states that it is legal to tow a trailer with a trailer. Some have to be towed behind a 5er some don't. Some you have to have a special endorsement on your license such as California. Triple towing is allowed in the following states:
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Idaho
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Michigan
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas Hope this helps. PS. Let me know where you are towing to so I will be somewhere else. I tow campers for a living and I would not even consider doing this especially with my family with me.

This should solve all your answers and storage problems while you travel!
