Camperdog

Good morning all, not raining here in Vancouver, Canada, so it's allready a good day.
I have just purchased a 1994, 21' Sovereign after a very lengthy search for the right unit. I have to install a "brake controller" on my vehicle, 2004 Grand Cherokee (Overland), and I was wondering what brand to buy.
Does anyone have any recommendations ????
Much appreciated,
David

Hi David, welcome to the forum! There's a lot of Airstreamers around here, and we have a pretty active group that gets together several times a summer. Hopefully we'll have something up your way someday!

I have a Prodigy controller in my truck. I upgraded to it after a lesser brake controller prematurely wore out my brake pads. We're very happy with it.

Welcome to the forums David. I've had the Tekonsha Prodigy and now the Tekonsha P3. Both are excellent, easy to use, and do the job well.

Ditto what both previous posts said.
I went cheap the first time and regretted it.
Welcome to the forums!

Welcome David.

There's quite a few Airstreamers in the lower mainland, and through out BC, as well as WA and OR.

Prodigy seems to be the way to go.

Hope to see you out camping in the future.

Barry

Hi Bill,
Yes this is my first A/S, and I bought the 1994 from this site in Oregon.

I just got a prodigy and like it a lot. One thing weird is it takes some time to get the brakes going. Anyone know whats up with this?
