Came a crossed a 78/79 trade wind.

Hey there~! So I know there is a big airstream "cult" and I came across this 1978/79 International Trade Wind. The owner just wanted it scrapped. It has been sitting for the last 20 or so years. The entire interior needs to be gutted. I have some pictures, though they aren't the best. During a hurricane sometime back a big branch fell on it and crushed the front left corner of the roof and it has been leaking for quite sometime. Unfortunately, I have a limited time to get it out of where it is located, and I don't really have a place to keep it. I planned on possibly gutting it and seeing what the under carriage looked like. It has been exposed to salt air for as long as it has been here. The tires surprisingly are still holding air. Rather than scrapping it, I considered parting it out, or selling it whole. If anyone might be interested in it please contact me. It is located in Wilmington NC.

Here are some pictures, I apologize if they might be upside down. Also the owners are currently looking for the title.

Welcome to the cult (if only temporarily)!

If all you want to do is sell it, your best bet might be to list this trailer in the Airstream Classifieds (look at the tabs at the top of the Forums page, just under the big logo). Take lots of pictures inside and out so that the potential buyer has an idea of what they are getting into.

Price-wise, it has a lot going against it. You might be lucky to get $1500 for it. I would also try posting it on your local Craigslist. Make sure you have the title in your name, as in some states that becomes a major stumbling block.

Good luck!
