Question California Dreamin!

Hello to all the Airstream Members.
From David and Carol. in Silverado California.

We have lived in California for 30 years, since moving here from England.
We instantly felt at home here in the US and became citizens. All our friends in England think we talk funny.

We have aquired a 1978 Excella 500.
We want to pick it up from Reno Nevada but our current SUV is not rated to tow this.
We have tried to rent a vehicle but non of the agencies allow towing.
Do any of you know a company in Southern California that will rent a tow vehicle?.
I thought maybe this problem is not unique.

Regards, David and Carol Stokes

You can try a shipper or a towing service. I realize that you would rather enjoy the good feeling of towing the Excella yourself but I compliment your good sense to know that you do not have the TV to do the job. I know the Sierra well and getting a large tow over them can be challenging even with a suitable TV. Don't rush into finding a tow vehicle for yourselves. Research well. Do you still retain your British accent? My mother came to the US when she was 28. When she died at 91 she still had her delightfull accent. Dad did too and he was here for over 40 years when he passed on.
