SSanders, welcome aboard. The Airstream family is a great one. The forum is the place to be when you need ideas. I restored a 1963
Bambi last year. My thread is here. http://www.airforums.com/forum...mbi-17925.html
I'd be glad to share any experience I had with my restoration. My first suggestion would be: 1. take lots and lots of pictures as you take her abart. Oh take lots of pictures. I took hundreds and still wish I'd taken more. 2. Find room to store all the parts you remove in the process. 3. Label everything with masking tape and numbers. 4. Most important take your time and enjoy the process. Our Bambi is now on the road and we have taken many trips. The trailer is way cool and we have enjoyed to no end.
