Argosy 1976 28ft My Bad Wolf

Hello,
My name is Alvin and I am Argosyholic! I just purchased a 1976 Argosy 28ft rear bath motorhome. Like all of you the bug bite me big on this one. I bougth the Argosy because I wanted to take my family on our own RV Trip. See the country show my kids that life is not about work and stress. I want them to see this great land that our fore fathers had seen. I want them to breath in the air that has a hint of sweet smell and allot of freedom. I am a old soul born in the wrong era but make do. I called my Argosy Bad Wolf because my 8 year old son and I are into the New Dr who series and also I would like to put a picture of little red ridding hood and the big bad wolf on the side of my RV. You know the picture the one from Tex Avery another great icon. I am a computer tech by trade and would like to fix the unit up with allot of nice gadgets. If you would like to know more drop a line. If you have an Argosy and have advice I am all ears.
Thank you and I am looking forward in living the American Dream.

Hi!

Welcome to the forums! Sounds like a great project.
We have an 1978 Argosy Minuet 6.7 metre trailer. Our Argosy was a gift from my folks. They traveled the U. S. in it for a long time. When they got elderly and were beyond driving anymore they gave it to me. My husband and I have done some repairs and remodeling and replaced axles etc. as needed. Larry is a do-it-yourselfer so the work is mostly ours. It still has many, many miles and camping trips to go. Our lifestyle has changed alot since we got it and we just purchased a silver AS, 1989 29 ft. Excella 1000. Our daughter has her eye on the Argosy, but I don't know that we are ready to give her up yet.
Good luck on your project!

Introducing: the butterbean frum texasA&M, class of '57

Howdy Alvin,
This here's the butterbean, from the heart of Texas, I am a new member also.. A friend of mine has a '76 28' Argosy, that I was gonna buy, but I'm an old wornout brokendown cowboy, with both shoulders torn up not to mention I'm 73 years old.... It runs really good and doesn't have any major problems, just a lot of small ones.. If you get any mail from someone looking, he really needs to sell it... I'm still in the market, if I find one that runs good and doesn't need a lot done to it... I guess I'm an Argosyholic also, too!!!
