another newcomer

Hi folks , this is the first forum I have ever been on , prompted by the purchase of a 1974 argosy 20' motorhome. It is sitting in north carolina waiting for me to come get it. Thanks for this forum and all the info. you provide. It is going to make my entry into the AS world much easier. Going to go get it early sept., will bring small tool kit for minor maint. and repair. Argosy han't had any use in last 20 years but seller has done some maint. to prepare it for sale. It is along way back to northern cal. but I am optimistic about not having any serious problems on the road. Phil

Consider AAA-RV plus. It's cheap insurance in the event something not easy to fix comes unglued. They can't tow you all the way home, but could bail you out if you need it and get you to somewhere to work on it, or to the parts you need. Congrats on the project, and welcome!

Welcome to the Airforums and congratulations on your new toy! That is a long trip, but it will be a blast...maybe you can hit some rallies or other Airstream/forum events along the way and perhaps meet some fellow Airstreamers... If you have internet access on the road, you can stay tuned here, let people know where you are, find out where to stay, and even ask for help if you need it if something comes up that you can't figure out on your own...

Hope to see you down the road, and good luck bringing the beauty home!
