Hello everyone. Just picked up our first Airstream last Friday night. Excited to personalize cushions, curtains, and polish this pretty baby up. We live in Alaska with lots to do in the summer. So, we are trying to beat mother nature before snow comes in a couple months. Hopefully I will have it ready to go camping in Kenai, Alaska in a few weeks. I'm so excited to finally own one. I've been running out to the driveway eachday excited to just sit in it when I can't work on it. Take care....

I'm amazed the extra effort you must have to go to locate an Airstream in Alaska! Wow! Good luck on your "personalization" ~ post pictures when you can.

We actually got lucky. They are hard to come by here. We were looking into a Overlander 1968 2 weeks ago. Someone gave a higher buying price and we didn't get it. I looked in the paper Friday and told my husband there's a pop up we can buy until we run into another Airstream. Then I kept reading down though the listings and there it was. The guy we bought it from said he was going to send away anyone who tried to offer less, or who had attitude. It just worked out beautifully. Before we could run over to the bank he gave my husband the for sale sign and tried to make us take it home. We are excited with lots of ideas. I cut the foam, found fabric, now I need to find the time to sew.
