I've spent about a month lurking around the forums, reading a great deal and trying to learn as much as possible before purchasing a vintage airstream. I helped a friend for several months on a 67 (I think)
Sovereign renovation, before he got burnedoutitis and sold it. I caught the bug then and it seems like a good time in my life to tackle the challenge. I have restored one classic car (datsun fairlady convertible) and remodeled parts of houses, so I think I'm ready.
In any case, I'm going to watch for 2-3 months for a good deal to come up in the Seattle Tacoma area (or around the country for the right deal, I suppose!). I'm not too picky on the year, there are lots of years I like, but i am looking for a longer trailer, as it will be my primary residence for a good bit. I do plan to travel with it, but will do more extended trips (i.e. stay somewhere for months, rather than days, at a time).
Just wanted to say hello, and thanks for all the great information, time, etc., that everyone has put up here. It's a great resource.
