Smile Ahoy ya'll

Hi folks,

My my wife Cheryl and I just purchased our own AS, a 1972, 27' Overlander. We planned on using it for a little while till my wife retires then purchaseing a new something or other. Well guess what. I don't think we will ever buy that new whatever. We love our AS and can hardly wait to learn and improve out little dream boat. Thanks in advance to all the other members, I am sure we will see ya down the road.

Oh Oilcan, welcome to the forums. And we too, bought an older Airstream with intentions of moving up. But...we also fell in love our "Bud" (1984 27ft Sovereign). Unfortunately, we have begun to realize that there may be a reason people own 2. While you are working on your Vintage, you can still enjoy Streamin in the other one.
Enjoy!!

MORE Texans! Welcome. I was commenting earlier today on the number of Texans on the forums. You'll find this an invaluable resource for learning about and fixing up your Airstream, the number of knowledgeable, helpful people is amazing.

Welcome.
I think I might be the southernmost Texan on here. Could be wrong. Do we have a Texan forum anywhere? I probably would seem much less abrasive amongst people who understood me.

thanks. Hey, I have an old college buddy lives in Weatherford, and my mother-in-law's farm is in Acton. We're keeping our 7FB in a warehouse in Dallas, so we're practically part-time neighbors!!

Who is your brother in law. My family is old time Weatherford and we have been in the tire business for over 65 years so we know quite a few folks.

A good friend of mine sold out in CA and moved to Costa Rica and is loving it so far. I live on a ranch here and am probabaly stuck here for ever but thats not to bad.
