About to become an Airstreamer!

Hello Everyone! Hope you’re all doing great.

So we’ve been dreaming about Airstreams for a long time now. I’ve never been in one until this weekend. My wife has seen them from the dozens of brochures on our cocktail table at home for the last year or so but wasn’t hooked like I was… Anyway, there is only one model for us after seeing them all this past Saturday! The Classic 33 (yes I’m a big guy and LOVE that bathroom/Shower)… so we are going to buy our last AS first! I think my wife is more excited than I am. She keeps texting me saying “cant wait to be streamin with you !!! ’”. Our plan is to buy within the next year, live in it, continue to work, move around on occasional weekends and extended summer trips. My wife a school teacher so has summers off, I’m in the hospitality business in SW FL so summer is the time I’m able to get away.
I know plans change but we will stop working in 5 years and will hit the road in our Classic. See our United States, visit places we have never seen, visit our 4 children and just enjoy retirement. . We plan on buying a tow vehicle about the same time we purchase our AS. Hoping that will be the last truck we buy also.
Excited and wanted to share with fellow steamers.. (I know, probably not correct lingo). Any advice, enlightenment, insults, etc. are most welcome. Ciao and have a great day! Dennis

Welcome, you've got the lingo down. Glad to have you here and you sound very excited about your plans. Just keep reading and before you know it you'll be heading down the road.

Welcome! Yes, the bathroom in the 33 classic sure is nice and spacious. I think it's the largest, nicest bathroom ever in AS history. And the large projection TV looks nice too. The only problem? It's so nice inside, will you ever want to leave and go explore outside!

The bathroom in the Classic 33 is without doubt one of the nicest in any RV. However, sitting so close to a huge Television screen would have any audio/visual aficionado cutting the side out of the coach and watching from outside the RV. Unless you are a burrito/hot sauce aficionado, perhaps calculate the number of minutes that will be spent in the bathroom per day. I think the layout of the Classic 30 lends itself a bit better to where we spend the majority of the time on our coach. But I’m more into the wine than the burritos!
Either coach will be a great choice for the long run.
