Well, I've been appreciating the help I have received via another friends account, so I decided to join the forum. I'm helping to restore a trailer right now, and I helped convince my partner in this project that it would be a good idea to tear out EVERYTHING...well, we have, and now we're looking at a ton of work. Goals this week are to decide on a floor material and devise an expense list for our boss (this trailer is going to be used for a film company).
Definitely bitten off more than we can chew...but I'm optimistic this will be a stylish Airstream before too long.
Hi Dan,
This may be a dumb question but isn't there only like 8 miles of road in Naknek? I did a clinical rotation out there with the public health nurses when I was in nursing school at UAA. I had to fly in and out and we flew over to South Naknek as well (on the school bus). I still have some friend out that way.
Good luck with the Airstream!
Well, if you drive up lake camp road there's at least 10 more miles. I've been a fishing guide and teacher there for the past couple years, but I resigned from my teaching job last spring, so I'm working to find a job on the road system and repairing a trailer while I look (living in oregon right now..) I bet we have some of the same friends!
Welcome aboard! Another 31...planty of streching out space...good thing about a tear it is it gives you a clean slate. Watch the weight, especially when ya might just find the occsaional rouch road
My son lived in North Pole Alaska, but after a couple of tours he asked for an assignment to a warmer climate...now he lives in Montanna...
A complete gut and rebuild...we need pictures
