We are wrapping up a second career and hoping to embark on an AS adventure. First step is to sell the farm and them get a TV followed by an AS. Kind of have my mind set on a diesel, 3/4 ton, crew cab pulling an AS 28'-30' in length. Visits to dealers when the snow clears will help determine the model. This forum is a God send for the newcomer.
Welcome aboard! Sounds like you have the first part figured out, now time to find it. Good luck in your hunting. And remember, you can ask any questions here on the forums. Someone has done it, fixed it, or towed it and is eager to help. Enjoy!
A trip to the Mother Ship in OH would be perfect for deciding on a floor plan and size that you like. AND there are lots of rallies around that you should look into. AS Folks just love to show off their trailers and it gives you an opportunity to see new/newer and vintage all in one place. You can find rallies etc by looking at the Rally Calendar. PA has a great group of folks that are right here on AirForums. PennWood Airstream Park is a great place to camp too. Good luck in your search.

Been in communication w/ Mother Ship re a visit when we head to MO in the next couple of months. Now looking for a PA get-together sometime soon. It will be fun to attend and kick a few tires.
When we decided to get some beef cattle we found one breed that really caught our eye so we joined the org. and attended meetings & shows for a year or so b4 buying our first Highlands. Found the one-on-one info to be invaluable. Guess that's why God made winter, to do the research and not waste good daylight sitting in front of a computer.
