76-31ft sovereign

Hello, I just purchased a 31 ft sovereign for my family and I want to get busy restoring it. We currently camp in our 67 tradewind which I refurbished. The sovereign has windows in the roof, which I think are called vista view windows that seem to be double paned. These windows must have had some kind of coating between the glass that has now come off between the two panes and looks bad. If anyone knows how to get this out of the window I would appreciate your help. Also any tips on this model camper would also be appreciated. Thank Chris

welcome

Hey Chris,
Welcome to the forum.
If you do a search on "vista view" I think that you should find more than one thread on the repair of the window.

Welcome to the forum Chris. I used to think it was just my eyes when I got up in the morning which were clouded over but then I sold the Tradewind and the new owner fixed those Vista View Windows. Here's how he did it:

Good luck to you.

As Klevan has said , read all the threads . There are more than one style of Vistaview even in the same model years . Some can be taken apart and some cannot , both can be fixed . Good luck

Hi, Chris,

Welcome to the forums, and welcome especially as a 70's 31' owner. Our trailers seem to be the "baby boomers" among Airstreams, at least when it comes to the 31-footers.

If the vista windows are the worse of your problems, I'd party.

Lamar
