2017 Classic

Just wanted to say hello. We are waiting on the delivery of a new 2017 Classic ordered from Airstream of SW Florida. Should be in mid Febuary. It will be a twin with cherry interior, chestnut furniture and sandalwood countertops. We have enjoyed the wealth of information here on the forum and look forward to happy travels.

Welcome and congrats on the new rig. Be sure to share some photos once you take delivery.

Took delivery of our new Classic at Airstream of SE Florida on Thursday. Happy with the process and enjoyed working with Derek and Michael. So far we are very pleased with our unit, even happier than expected. We did the chestnut leather with sandalwood counters snd cherry interior. Looking forward to a road trip from Florida up the coast to Savannah and Charleston. Click image for larger version

Congratulations! You will love it. The 30' is a little harder to find spaces for, but not unmanageable. We traded our Safari 25 for a Classic 30 and it is so much more spacious and comfortable.

If you can fit it into your travels, take the St. John's river ferry on your way north into GA. We have been wanting to do that but haven't been able to fit it in yet. Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach is an interesting stop. There's a museum, tours of the fort, and an historic downtown area.

We did a little research on your suggestion and decided to take A1A to the St. John's ferry and cross the river. It was easy..the ferry runs frequently and cost $10.00 for our truck and Airstream. We had a nice lunch at the Sandollar Restaurant and Marina. Then walked the beautiful beaches on Talbot Island. We also made our way to Fort Clinch State Park and toured the fort. Thanks for making the suggestion. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hope you make it there soon!
