We have been the owner of a 1994 Airstream Land Yacht for less than 2 years. Since it is in the vintage category, we'd really like to connect with people who own them or have owned them. We saw an owner on our first camping trip in it at Lefleur Bluff State Park in Jackson, MS, who had put in laminated flooring instead of carpet and replaced the white leather ceiling with something similar to thin Formica. I think you can tell I know very little about doing either one. We have the idea of doing both of these things to ours. Right now I was hoping someone else could tell me what they did to replace anything that has reached the point that this needs to happen. Since we are living in the motorhome fulltime, we will likely need to be somewhere for awhile and possibly spend some time out of the motorhome so the renovations can be accomplished. My biggest fear is that the home will be worse instead of better for having done this. By that, I mean, so many people pretend to know what they are doing when, in fact, they do not. I was wondering what kinds of compounds such as adhesives do not put out smells that are unhealthy and trigger allergic reactions, for instance.
Well, guess I've rambled on long enough about things I do not know anything about. Hope I can find this forum again to read any responses I may receive.
BTW, my last name really has an "H." on it.
