1992 Excella 1000 purchase?
Well, after weeks of scouring the forums and listening to the VAP I've decided to buy my first ever AS. As I plan to go full time I want a large sized one, not too worried about towing at this point as I will be staying in one place for foreseeable future.
Not too many 34 ft AS available here in Canada and am a little worried about buying an AS that has been exposed to Canadian weather for a number of years. Looked at a local one, 1990, needed some TLC, had always been stored outside and the caulking was dry and brittle, so I worry about leaks, floor rot etc.
Am now looking at a 1992 Excella 1000 in Virginia. Seller says only 7000 miles of travel, elderly couple and always stored in heated garage so should be in really good shape. Don't want to buy sight unseen though so want to arrange for professional inspection. Anyone know of a company that would do this? Any particular issues with this model I should be aware of?
Also need to consider how to get it to Canada. Anyone know of a company that would ship to Canada and at what cost. May decide to borrow or even buy tow vehicle - thinking of used 3/4 ton, maybe Chevy Suburban or even Dodge Durango as someone suggested. I'd be selling the tow vehicle afterwards.
