1975 Airstream Stepvan/ Delivery Truck?

Some states and countries require a vehicle to be registered as the year it was built, rather than the model year.
And July 1 is the current model year change, though we have been getting 2015 model SOB trailers for a couple months or so.

Hello, I too have an airstream bodied step van, manufactured in 1978. I do not have not much info on these vehicles in fact I was looking for some info when I came across your post.
They were made by the commercial products division of the company, I know this because mine has its original metal badge with that written on it. They are built from very heavy gauge aluminium.
As to registration I have registered my one as a motorhome, it was easy because that's what most airstreams are, of course I am not planning on using it commercially, and it now has windows installed in the sides.
