1975 31' Airstream - Need help
This is my first post to the forum. I purchase a 1975, 31’ Airstream a couple of months ago and have just started my restoration. Everything seemed ok until I removed most of the inside furniture and cabinets and saw all leaks that occurred over the years. I have stopped most of them but I am in somewhat of a dilemma of what to do next.
The floors seem ok, but there is rot along most of the edges. Also, there is strong smell, like mildew. I am now concerned that the leaking over the years probably messed up the insulation in the floor and walls.
Would should I do? Remove the inside wall walls and floor and replace the insulation. I really did not expect to have such a big project. Also, I have not way to do a frame off restoration so is it possible to replace the floor without taking the frame off the floor?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
