Greetings. We just purchased a 68 Ambassador Air Stream - I am thrilled - it needs lots of work but we are in no hurry. I've always wanted an Air Stream but it was an extravagance...lo and behold, this one serendipitidly fell into my lap. We own a home in Eureka, Nevada and also Santa Barbara. We're in Eureka now and well saw this lovely lady and found out the history - and we knew someone who lived in it so now her name is Sandy T. after the lady who lived in her once. I'm trying to find out who the original owners were. In
1968, I had just graduated from high school, and knew that folks who owned Air Streams had to be "rich" - so I'm sure that this one has many stories to tell. Is there a way to tell by the serial number or whatever who the original owner was??? I got my title today and it just had name of last owner - anyway, it's now mine! So, little by little, I'll restore it - it's not in great condition but I totally love it and it's on my property - here in the Great Basin! My email address is
Bayoutoes@aol.com. I spend part of the year in Louisiana - I write books about the people there - well, I collect their stories. Nice to meet everyone and please feel free to email me! Salud,
Mariana Titus (my husband's name is Richard Baker)...
