Hi Sabinforce: Welcome to these Airstream Forums. There is a wealth of information here on all things Airstream.
I used to own a 66 Trade Wind and did extensive work to it. I now have a 75 Overlander and my wife has a 86 Limited. We've been owners since 05. Most of the 60s and 70s trailers say Land Yacht on them as Wally Byam liked boats so I read. An "International" was the higher trim grade where the trailer may have had more amenities like better cabinets, a TV antenna, or fancy control center. These International trailers usually have a US "flag" emblem on the sides.
I might suggest it is impossible to appraise a price on a 65 Ambassador 28' vintage Airstream sight unseen. It is totally dependent on condition. It is my opinion, and mine only, that if a vintage Airstream has a "good" body meaning no hail, significant dents or scrapes, all windows present and accounted for, all doors present and work; that the trailer is likely worth $5000. If the trailer has been restored like new, or renovated and well documented showing the work done with receipts, then the trailer might be worth $25k. I might add that short trailers are worth more than the longer ones.
Others will certainly join in and likely give better advice than I can. There are good appraisers out there that do this for a living.
David
