I am new to the forum so let me say hello to everyone. I am considering buying a trailer from my brother in law. He he says the box measures 12 ft long, and the title says it is a 1951. He lives 300 miles away so I have not seen it in awhile. He says the wiring does not work and the inside needs to be redone.
I know my father in law redid the interior when he bought it in late 50's or early 60's. My mother in law says it was gutted when they bought it as the seller was using it for an office.
He is asking me what it may be worth and I have no idea. I have not seen the title or reg. plate so I have no number to look up. Any ideas on how to determine what it is worth would be appriciated.
Hi if I was buying a 12ft trailer that was gutted and didn't know what else needed and they were related to me I'd be finding out what the guy drinks and bring only that for payment... Really what it's worth now ... But with thought, hard work and time you could have a real gem
AND.....plan to spend about 10,000 to 18,000 dollars to get it up to speed.

Neat to hear about your BIL's trailer! It does sound like its a Cruisette. Does the title by chance list a serial #? That would help pin down exactly what it is. Without photos it would be really hard to put a value on it, but with an intact shell, frame and windows & vents (or even some of the above) it would likely have a part-out value from $2-$3 K (NOT that that should be done!). With pictures and a much better description I could give you a better estimate since I've got several years of asking price/sale price data on many of the 30ish known Cruisettes. Hope this is helpful and don't hesitate if you've got other questions.
