Wirecon receptacle

In the process of tracing a short in my house wiring I damaged one of the self contained Wirecon receptacles in the aluminum wall of the Airstream. The tool for pressing the termination wires into this outlet is about $80.00 and I don’t want to buy one for a single shot repair. I do need the locking mechanism used to install the receptacle. It is similar to an “old work” remodel outlet box.

So I am looking for a Wirecon type receptacle that uses either a push connection, or termination screws. Anyone out there encountered this and found a solution.

So I was able to repair the short. The Romex outer sheath plus a bit of the black wire was torn and the black wire was touching the ground. This must have been done during production because the yellow sheath had a large rip..as if it were yanked hard and hung up on something.

I still need to replace the receptacle so any ideas will be appreciated.

Hi

If you want it done right, get the correct tool for the job.
