sierramsu,

Two, count 'em two 34's signed up the same day? I'm gonna play those for lottery numbers. Your 34 gets you S/OS #035.

Looks like you figured out the add pic routine. A fine rig indeed. Pic's are always welcome.

Somebody do the math, we've accounted for 35 of the 84?

Hey Airstream, you seeing a bit of special pride in the slide!

Yer humble slider.

Just reading through the forums and spotted the description of 34 S/O in one of NOAZRK2690 posts. Dropped a friendly invitation to slide on over to check out our humble group of sliders.

I'm claiming a possible with sierramsu as they came sliding in after that nod in our groups direction.

So what was that recruiting prize again?

We trust our recruiters word. You're awarded double star status.

Only about 50 more recruiter stars exist. Get busy folks.

I had some time before heading off to the salt mines. I complied a fresh list of S/OS Registry Members. I put it in a .jpg format so it was easy for everyone to see. Gary I took the liberty of using the next number for peloroja13 to make the list most current.

I also compiled a listing of Slide Out Owners using the data available here on the forums. Boy was I surprised... There are over 500...that's right 500 Forum members that list a Trailer of theirs as being a Slide Out.

There are some obvious doubles, triples, but they wouldn't account for the large number. It's also a group spread over many years, with limited participation by the member. Probably lot's of inactive folks and sales etc hidden in the facts. it's 10 pages long I'll post it later in a .pdf format.

Sorry for any errors, duplicate's, omissions etc with the member list...

Tom

Seems like I just powered the ol' PC down and BAM un-be-slide-able we got another and not just another, its another 34'.

Wow, peloroja13 as Tom noted, you're S/OS #036.

Pic's are always welcome and safe travels and easy sliding to all.

Makes me wanna hook up and tow to a camp. Or walk down to the backyard, unlock the door and spend the weekend in my Camp Hickory?

To all, Keep on sliding.

Lot's of Slide Owners

I had the time earlier to do a little research using the search features of the Airstream Forums. I was curious as to how many Slide Owners were in the group.

Amazing numbers started turning up as I worked my way through the search. I was familiar with the number of 84 as the number of Slide Out Trailers produced. I don't know where that comes from, but it's been published a few times.

In the end of my research I found that there were 538 Forum Members that listed a Trailer as a Slide Out. There are some doubles, a few triples and some that don't show up...

I'm sure that the large number of Slide Owners is a reflection of the time span from 1999-2009. That's a period of 10 years of production that reaches back as far as 18 years to the most recent of 8 years ago. How many are still with original owners and how many have been sold and resold?

Lot's of the owners have minimal to no postings and much of it was many moons ago. I guess the bottom line is that folks may not update their profile and become inactive. We're just viewing the facts frozen in time.

Here's the list as I've complied it. Sorry for any errors!

Hola amigos!

Fellow sliders, here... 2008 30' Classic Limited S/O. Picked her up in October 2007 from Jim May RV in Finley, OH.

Interior is bone stock (except for the microwave... had a little, let's call it 'snafu' where one of the kids thought they were setting a 10 minute timer... still looking for a replacement)

Exterior got stainless steel kitchen vent cover, HWH cover, furnace cover, Michelin LT tires and 16" aluminum rims, wired rear camera.

Joe & Kim, 6 children, and one Wire Fox Terrier

Tom,

Interesting list. I spotted several duplicates as you pointed out. I certainly don't have the answer.

Thanks for the list.

Fellow sliders, any ideas?

Welcome New SLIDERS!

Welcome aboard to our newest members - boondockdad and SilverBeast! Thank you for sliding over to become part of the group!

We're gonna wear out Gary's "Slide Rule" calculating out all those new numbers he's assigning.

Even though Gary hasn't "Officially" Slid a number to SilverBeast yet, I did up a new group list for reference. Wow, our group membership is almost half of what the production numbers were. My glass is half full

We're gonna keep sliding around the backwoods in search of more rare aluminum!

Steve,

I'll formalize your membership from home. Something about your credit score set a yellow light. We'll straighten it out.

Oh wait, you're tugging with a Cummins.

Yellow is now green.

Steve how's S/OS #038.

I have a 2005 28' Safari with a slide. Love the trailer. Would purchase a new one about the same length if I could get a slide.

Welcome to the forums and more importantly welcome to the Slide Out Society!

These slides are pretty cool...

Time for me to run off to the Salt-mines again. After Gary does his "Slide Rule" number magic we'll update our growing member list.
