Reading Lights Under Front Cabinets in Bedroom 25FB

Our 2008 Classic 25FB has reading lamps hanging down under the front pano cabinet above the queen bed. I don't understand why Airstream put those type of lights there. We are constantly knocking them when the person on that side of the bed tries to slide around the almost walk around bed. Does anyone really read by those lights?

I would like to replace them with a puck LED light fixture some sort or a light that is flush with the padded lining under the cabinet. They would provide some decorative lighting while staying out of the way. Anyone find something that is an easy replacement?

I looked at ITC-RV catalog and thought about overhead lighting but I would need a fixture that is switched, overhead require a separate switch.

I have a twin so the situation is somewhat different but we do have four of the lights, total, two over the gaucho and one over each of the twin beds. I like them because they offer control over both the amount and the placement of light. We use them for reading particularly when some members of the family are asleep.

One of the advantages of the twin layout is that the "almost walk around bed" is replaced by a comparatively spacious center aisle.

Just change your queen to a couple of twins.

Kidding aside, maybe a set of those stick up battery powered lights might be worth thinking about. Easy to install anyhow.

I did a search and came across your question from 2013 about the reading lights. We have a 27 FB Queen bed and those lights are very much in the way. I repeatedly bump my head on them. Did you find a solution?
