Just ordered 2007 25' Classic w/changes

Well we did it. Made a deposit and placed an order for a 2007 25' Classic. We requested and got approval for a couple of changes; we wanted the stacked window to the right of the door insted of the single fixed unit and also ordered stacked windows in the bedroom as well as Vista Views in place of the small cabinet just over the bedroom window. Ordered it with the galley skylight, leather couch,15000 btu AC, 600 watt inverter, audiovideo upgrade w/20"SonyTV, generator prep, wireless outside speakers, flag storage box and Hensley hitch. Fully pimped out. Now I just have to find some spinners for thoses aluminum wheels. Just waiting to hear back about the build date.

How exciting for you.Of course you know that you will have to provide pictures to the forum of the finished product.

I fully expect you to go on a national tour for all of us to see this in person.

Congratulations!! Sounds like great modifications to an already beautiful trailer.

Great to hear from owners who have purchased new Airstreams and hear what they would say if they could do it over again. Likes/dislikes, options on their wish and dream lists. (An evaporative unit in the grey tank)

The Ultimate 25'

That really sounds great; I will look for the pictures. You really need to consider a set of those new wheel covers that keep on spinning after the trailer stops.

Colonial Airstream said that they would let me know as soon as the factory set a build date. Then I may just have to make the drive to see it being built. Besides having one of the nicest web sites for Airstreams, Colonial sales ( Patrick, Dave and Lauren) have all been excellent as this thing has evolved.

Congrats

Sounds really nice, perfect for that matter. Once I gain some experience towing, RVing , get some big bucks, a bigger tow vehicle, I will trade this 23 footer in.

Congratulations on your new rig!

We just picked up or 2006 Classic 34 from Colonial Airstream. We agree with you about the folks at Colonial, they are a very nice group of people and we were well pleased with their service.

Congratulations on your new baby-to-be. Now is the really difficult part, the wait.

We highly recommend the trip to see your Airstream in production. We saw ours in the final stages of assembly and it was exciting.

Congrats as well. You'll like the widebody. We loved our '93 but certainly have found the '06 to be everything we had hoped for as well.

Just received the build date as mid September and delivery the first of October. October should still allow a few trips before serious cold weather sets in. It's nice that Airstream will allow a few personal changes (at a cost)to the standard configuration.

Picked up the new 25 Classic yesterday. The extra windows and vista views make a big difference. also added a light over the door which is nice. I have pictures but the files are to big. I'll post some tomorrow.

Pimp my trailer

We're in the third trimester too (for a 07 Safari SE FB) and can barely stand the wait~ In fact, we've already made local boondogging reservations so we can have a real shake-down close to home. Why did you decide on the Hensley? We're looking into a Reese dual-cam and Prodigy brake control. Our TV is a 2000 Tundra, but we're thinking of getting the 07 when it comes out next Feb. What gen. are you planning to use? We're looking at the Honda EU2000 as well as the Yamaha 2400. So many unknowns! Aaargh. Any insights?

Sounds like you did your research and got just what you wanted. Good for you. We love our '06 25FB and wouldn't change a thing. The dealer ordered all the options on it. We just lucked out and found it on the lot before it sold.
Send pics and try to make the wait painless....it will be worth the wait.
