I have not had a major problem with my Ford F150 FX4 (which sits pretty high) and the Blue Ox on the road, but I do have to put on a higher standard hitch when I enter and exit my driveway. I have a six hole shank. It rides pretty low and (besides the driveway) will drag on the one lane dirt road around Colorado BLM lands. It is mostly the bottom of the bars that drag. I have replaced the u-bolts and nuts twice in 5 years. I do, however, very much like the way it pulls the trailer on the highways.

I just posted my Blue Ox set-up on Airstream Classifieds in the "Specialty Services and Products" category. Thank you for looking.

After chatting with Blue Ox tech support i will keep my setup as is. They suggest I leave the truck running during hitching to allow the air suspension to do it’s thing. They also said the Ram receiver should be two inches higher than the coupler. In the Trailer setting I am at 20.5 “ vs. 19 at the coupler. Should be ok. So we have a short, local trip soon which will allow me to test their advice.

I’m done here so thanks for all the comments.
