My 2007 Owners' Manual seems to contradict itself. The below paragraph appears in the manual:
"When the disconnect switch is turned to “store” (off)
and the trailer is plugged into a 110-volt shoreline, the
12-volt distribution panel will still receive power from
the converter, but the battery is disconnected from the
system. The battery will not be drained with the switch
in the “store” position. The converter will not charge
the battery with the switch in the “store” position
either."
However the wiring diagram a few pages later shows that the converter power out line is attached to the power distribution buss bar on the battery side of the cutoff switch. The trailer is wired like the diagram. With the switch off (store), there is no
12V to anything in the trailer (except the LP detector) while shore power is attached.
Does anyone see an issue with moving the converter power out line to the cutoff switch post on the 12 V power distribution panel side of the switch?
This would allow the converter to power the coach, while on shore power and still be able to isolate the batteries.
