Bathroom cabinet latch is junk- 2006 Classic

2006 30' Classic S/O
Has anyone found a better latch for the mirror compartment? The one over the sink that opens up and locks. The original latch is junk and bends. If it were made of better material it would be ok. What solutions are out there?

??

I'm not sure if there was a change between 2004 and 2006. Ours seem to be ok...so far.

The dealer rep paid deliberate attention to operation of this latch on the walkthrough when we bought our 2006. I'm sure they've had many come back damaged due to operator error. I agree they would be subject to bending if operated incorrectly. Ours is doing very well and should be for long years to come.

An old thread, but my 2008 Classic 25 mirrored cabinet locking hardware got bent by the wife and pulled out one of the screws. Had to fill the hole with a hardwood dowl and drilled out. I'm looking for a different type of support that doesn't require the door to be lifted and the support unlocked. Right now I have it removed.

I think I remember seeing a thread where someone used the same hinges that lift the overhead cabinets on the Safari/Flying Cloud line.

Another thought - little hydraulic lifts on either side. Why not?

That's what I'm thinking. The mirror cabinet door is heavier but two should do the trick. Will start researching where to purchase.
